Your Leopard Pants 4 Ways

One of this season’s most coveted, cool-girl pieces is none other than the leopard print pant! Leopard print is really having a moment, it’s everywhere and in any kind of piece imaginable from skirts, tops, sweaters, scarves, hats, bags, and shoes, there’s really something for everyone. I recently jumped on the bandwagon and purchased my own leopard print pants, thinking I would see what the fuss was about and return them if they weren’t for me. They arrived and immediately I fell in love! Feeling inspired by this chic, classic print I decided to see what out-of-the-box looks I could put together with these pants. It’s easy to gravitate towards a black tee or white shirt, so I wanted to create looks that were visually interesting and offered lots of intrigue.

Monochromatic

I love this look because it feels like such an easy win for someone who wants to play with the warmth of the browns in the pants. I kept things casual with a cognac cashmere crewneck sweater and classic Ugg boots. Of course, I had to jazz it up with a charm necklace and bracelet stack. This tonal look has a way of making casual still feel elevated.

Print on Print

Enter the blue and white striped shirt and prepare to have your mind blown! I was truly shocked this worked because typically if you’re doing a print-on-print moment, you want to ensure that there are two colours from each print that overlap to add a level of cohesiveness, ideally, each with different densities. Knowing this I was surprised to find that these worked together better than expected, but as it turns out, because these two prints are very classic, together they’re quite harmonious. Paired with a black blazer, boots and belt, the prints feel anchored, creating this fresh, cohesive print look!

Pop of Colour

I love the idea of pairing a leopard print with a pop of red, it feels so classic and chic. Alternatively, a vibrant cobalt would also be stunning! These kinds of pops of colour match the intensity of the print so the outfit feels balanced. Perfect for the office, I’ve finished the look with black ballet flats, a link bracelet and an earring stack.

With Denim

Last but certainly not least! I love this as a cool girl uniform. The denim acts as a neutral making it an easy pairing with the leopard pants. To add a cool aesthetic, button the shirt all the way up the neck and leave it untucked. I’ve added samba sneakers, bracelets over my sleeve and chains at the neckline to complete this dynamic duo.
