Gift Wrapping Guide: Our Three Favourite Styles For Under The Tree
The Arts & Crafts
Though this craft is nice and simple, it brings a special charm to your gifts, dreaming of simpler times. Take a sponge and cut it into a tree shape, grab your white paint and there you go! It’s up to you if you want to do trees all the way across or simply add one tree to the bottom corner of your gift after you put on your ribbon and tag. We’ve also seen this done with halves of potatoes and your favourite cookie cutter, so find what works for you and have fun! Either way, you’ll have a timeless look that will appear uniform in the warm evening glow.
The Classic, With A Twist
When it comes to creating that holiday classic style, it all comes down to one thing, the ribbon. Go on a hunt to find the most luxurious ribbon you can, maybe it’s velvet, maybe its a wide-silk, who knows! Find two or three colours of your liking and tie one, two or all three on each gift giving it a consistent pallet that goes with your other decor. This one isn’t complicated but that’s what makes it a classic.
The Rustic
Nicole loves the outdoors, and what better way to honour it than to include it in each gift you give! Grab your hot glue gun, your favourite ribbon and a few bits of cedar, pine, and even a pinecone if you wish. Start by creating your bow first by tying it together and slowly implementing greenery on the back, sticking out how you like. Once complete, wrap a ribbon around your gift ending in a double knot. Cut off the loose ribbon and glue your premade bow where the tied bow would ordinarily be. You can write the recipient’s name right on the paper and be ready for that outside-inside feeling.
