Wardrobe Turnover For A New Season

Transitioning to a new season, though can be exciting, is often a little turbulent when it comes to styling. All of a sudden your sweater selection feels a little too heavy, and your summer garments are still a little too light. Finding a happy medium and setting up your closet for easy dressing is our favourite way to make sure you move smoothly through this transitional season.

Removing Winter Garments

Though winter can be a wonderful time to feature layered looks and thick fabrics, it’s time to kiss that part of your wardrobe adieu, putting away bulky pieces that won’t serve as the months get warmer. I like to tuck these garments away in a separate area (something that I haven’t always had) and make space for the pieces I will be using for the foreseeable future. Even if you don’t have a separate place to store winter clothes, even small bins under the bed help make sure your closet feels as breezy as possible.

Move Up Your Lighter Pieces

I often tend to tuck away my lighter pieces during the colder months knowing I won’t be reaching for them for quite some time, but once spring hits I’m always excited to pull these garments out and give them room to breathe and settle. Move your lighter garments to the front of your closet making them easy to reach so dressing keeps being a breeze, plus it makes it feel like you’re shopping in your own closet. Seeing old garments as new is always a treat.

Don’t Forget Accessories

When we’ve been wearing winter boots for months it’s easy to forget that your shoes (and other glorious accessories) are now again an option when getting ready in the morning! I like to pull out my lighter coloured boots and flats in anticipation of warmer days, tucking those winter boots away once the snow has melted, just be wary of muddy areas as you put on your white shoes! Add whatever bright stylish accessories make your heart happy as you embark on warmer days.
