Manifestation Boards for 2024

We cannot believe it is already a third through the year, how did this happen?! Though time seems to be ticking by we wanted to make space this year to sit down and give some thought to what we want out of 2024, introducing our Manifestation boards! For those who may not be familiar, these are simply boards we put together using odds and ends from my extensive collection of paper treasures I’ve saved over the years. Selecting items that speak to what we want out of the year and collaging them together, they’re a great reminder of how to be steadfast in your goals while also creating a work of art that is unique to you! Today Steph and I share our boards and answer a few questions about what we hope to accomplish in 2024, let’s dive in!

Why did you want to do a board?

Nicole: Though I’ll admit I’m not usually one for manifestation, I was excited at the idea of having a visual reminder of what I was hoping to accomplish for the year right in front of me. I often get overwhelmed with all that I want to accomplish (especially in a year) so sitting down and focusing up was appealing to me, not to mention I tend to keep scraps of paper that I like and my collection was getting a little outrageous!

Stephanie: Any opportunity to get together with a friend, have a glass of wine and be creative is always going to be a yes in my book. Tack on thinking about what you’re hoping to bring into your world over the next year? Sign me up. I love any opportunity to think, dream, plan and marinate on my life so this was not a difficult sell for me.

What are you hoping to manifest this year?

N: You can see pretty quickly that there’s a lot going on in my board here but I tried my best to break it into sections including mindset (top left), travel, (bottom left), aesthetic (top right), and work (bottom right). My goals this year are really focused around the theme of letting go and processing the past, finding peace and flourishing in creativity.

S: I went into this with very low expectations, in that I just wanted to have fun, be creative, choose things that spoke to me and see what my mind naturally gravitates towards. That being said, I definitely think I’m manifesting travel, creativity, time in nature, quiet time with myself, a feeling of home, self-love, being active, making healthy choices, and learning, just to name a few. Sometimes I think with manifestation boards, if you are choosing images that grab you, they have a way of telling you exactly what you’re hoping to bring into your life.

Which images jumped out at you the most:

N: One of my favourites on this board includes the face and the orange square with traits that read above it. This came from the box of a Virgo candle I actually bought with Steph in Winnipeg a few years back, so it reminds me of a great memory but also to lean into my best self. I also love the note in the bottom left ‘leave the algorithm behind’. I think this is something we all get caught in and it’s a great reminder that in a lot of ways engaging with media is a choice and you have the ability to step away when you need to. Overall I leaned into imagery that had a sense of greenery and life to it, my husband and I are big fans of camping so the opportunity to get outside and have some time travelling this year is something to work towards. Lastly, the sentiment of gratitude is really important to me, we’re lucky to be on this little blue planet and the reminder to say ‘a million times thank you’ as seen in the top left is something I always want to keep in mind.

S: While selecting images, I found myself pulling a lot of items that represent enjoying time alone, whether reading, meditating, sitting on a couch or walking a dog. Now being in a relationship, I feel as though I need to work hard in honouring that time that is just for me and really revel in it. There are definite images of home that caught my eye, specifically the kitchen and living room images. I love my apartment and how it’s been put together, but I also know there may come a time when this won’t be my home anymore, so I want to make sure that I am enjoying every moment here and these are what these images remind me of the most. There are also lots of nods to nature, whether it be trees, hills, flowers or plants. Living in the city I often crave a consistent escape and break from tall buildings and loud city noises. Lastly, I think I gravitated towards images that had colour, fun and reminders of love, in hopes that they would bring levity, joy and love of all kinds into my life.

How are you going to bring these things to life this year?

N: Knowing that a lot of my board is a little abstract there are a few things that I’m committed to this year including investing in myself creatively. I often get caught up in my day job so giving myself space to explore and work on other projects is something I’m excited to do this year. I’m also committed to taking care of myself, like the little description of the care for a rubber tree in the centre of the board. I need water light and care just like anything else and want to make sure that is a priority.

S: I’m going to bring these things to life this year by slowing down and enjoying the season I’m in. This has been a season of consistency and although I am grateful for it, it can have its own challenges. It can be easy to get caught up or discouraged by the mundane, so I actively want to pursue creativity and learning wherever I can! Like seasons, life changes quickly and all of a sudden. I recognize that change could be coming my way sooner than I may realize, so I want to enjoy these little moments with myself, in the home I’ve created.
